About Us

Embody and Connect CIC is a new community interest company using creative movement as a tool for wellbeing, connection, and community.  We deliver trauma-informed, Dance Movement Psychotherapy-informed programmes that support emotional wellbeing, confidence, self-expression, and belonging. Our work creates safe and inclusive spaces where children, young people, adults, and communities can connect with themselves and others through movement and creativity.

Who can take part in your programmes?

Our programmes are open to children, young people, adults, families, schools, and community groups. Eligibility may vary depending on the programme, project, or funding criteria, and we are committed to making our activities as accessible and inclusive as possible.

 

What services do you provide?

We deliver movement-based wellbeing programmes, creative workshops, school interventions, community projects, family activities, and wellbeing events. Our work focuses on improving wellbeing, building confidence, strengthening relationships,

and creating opportunities for connection and belonging.

 

Do I need any experience to take part?

Not at all. Our activities are designed to be welcoming and accessible to people of all abilities, backgrounds, and levels of experience. No previous movement, dance, or creative experience is required.

 

How do I join a programme?

You can contact us directly to find out about current opportunities, upcoming programmes, workshops, and events. Some programmes may accept self-referrals, while others may be accessed through schools, community organisations, or partner agencies.

 

Can I refer a child, young person, or family?

Yes. We welcome referrals from parents and carers, schools, community organisations, youth services,

healthcare professionals, and other support agencies where appropriate.

 

Are your programmes free?

We offer a mixture of free, funded, and paid programmes. Many of our community and wellbeing projects are

offered free of charge thanks to the support of funders, partners, and donors.

 

Are your programmes inclusive?

Yes. We are committed to creating safe, welcoming, and inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued and respected. We aim to remove barriers to participation and continually develop our practice to support disabled, neurodivergent, and underrepresented individuals and communities.

 

How can schools work with you?

We work with schools to deliver wellbeing programmes, creative movement sessions, workshops, interventions, staff training, and community-focused projects. We can tailor programmes to meet the needs of individual schools and student groups.

 

How can organisations partner with you?
